HFDEO provides online, self-paced training built for firefighters. Our courses are straightforward to use and focused on practical skills you can apply on the job.

1. Enroll

Browse the course catalog and choose the training that matches your goals. After checkout, your course appears in your account and is available immediately from any device with internet access.

2. Sign In and Get Oriented

Create or sign in to your HFDEO account.
Open your course dashboard to see modules, progress, and assessments.
Review the overview module for learning objectives and any prerequisites.

3. Learn at Your Own Pace

Each course is divided into short, focused modules. Move through them on your schedule—on shift, between calls, or at home.

Clear lessons with visuals and real-world scenarios
Downloadable references and checklists where available
Knowledge checks to reinforce key points

4. Practice and Check Understanding

Quizzes appear throughout the course to confirm comprehension before advancing. You can usually retake practice items to strengthen weak areas.

5. Final Assessment

When you finish the modules, complete the final assessment to demonstrate mastery of the material. Your score and pass status are shown in your dashboard.

6. Certificate of Completion

After successful completion, a digital certificate is issued to your account. You can download or print it for your records or provide it to your department as needed.
